7.2 MS Teams Presence Synchronisation

Presence sync makes it possible to synchronise the presence status between MS Teams and Phone Up bidirectionally.

As these are two separate applications, the presence information must be exchanged between them when changes are made on either side, which may result in a short delay.

This means that the correct information about the user's status may differ from the corresponding display in the applications for up to 60 seconds.

For example, a call in Phone Up may have ended, however, the user may still be shown as being on a call in MS Teams.

In addition, presence synchronisation may cause the in use status in Phone Up to persist longer than the call lasts.

However, this is only visual information; the user is still available for calls.

In cases where the incorrect presence status persists for a longer period of time (for example, after a Phone Up application crash), it will be displayed correctly after the next call.

Presence sync is limited to a maximum number of 650 extensions.
